"I just wanted to say thank you once again for doing such a wonderful job last night. You made the subject of etiquette fun (no easy feat) while being incredibly informative. I know everyone at the event (myself included) learned quite a bit. Many students commented on how much they hadn’t known before last night about formal dining etiquette. As they were leaving, lots of students also commented on how much fun they had, and how funny you were!
We’re so lucky to have such a great partnership with Sodexo!"

Gabriel set up the event and was so kind by continually checking up throughout the day and making sure we had everything we needed. He had everything set up perfect. The food was also very good and all of our guest truly enjoyed it. I can't thank you enough for everything you and Gabriel did to make this such a wonderful and memorable event. Everything went smoothly thanks to your friendly and considerate staff.
I will definite consider you again for my future event needs."

"I would like to extend a very
special thank to you and Trish, the catering director, for helping me to plan
the holiday reception for yesterday’s event; kudos must be
given to the sous chefs and their assistants who prepared the delightful and
delicious holiday foods. It was beautifully displayed and so enjoyable for
all. Virginia did a wonderful job in setting up the tables with an eye to
detail -- even in the placement of pine cones on the table that reflected the
theme of the centerpieces.
Simply put, it was beautiful.
Thank you again!"

"Dear Sodexo staff,
I am a an LMU graduate (05’) and I currently work at Santa Monica High School. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to take a group of students and parents to LMU to tour the campus and listen to a presentation. After the presentation, we were able to sit down and talk about the information learned throughout the day with a delicious meal prepared by your staff.
I was in contact with Ms. Teresa Whitaker before the trip to arrange our meal within the budget I was given. She was gracious, professional and pleasant to work with. The parents and students enjoyed the food and I as an alumn, was proud of the professionalism that your staff exhibited to potential students and families.
Thank you for making our trip successful and for adding to my pride as an LMU alumn."

"I have an opportunity to dine at many prestigious universities throughout the U.S. However, I have never been taken care of with such kindness, and as care, as I have been here at LMU|LA.
From the management to staff, everybody greets me daily with a smile. Not to mention, the food is delicious as well. In fact, the food is very delicious.
Above everything, I am truly grateful for your teams' efforts in accommodating me in my Ramadan fasts. I haven't had to worry a single day about food - this is after my worry when I am practicing away from home.
I truly wish and hope that many more people get to witness your generosity and smiles and have a great meal."

"Good evening LA Sodexo MALDEF Wellness Team!!
I just wanted to personally thank you all for the Outstanding job that you provided to the LA Latino Community under the MALDEF PSP program.
Gustavo (Culinary Director Corporate Services West) you and the "A Team" :
- Alfonso Campos (Loyola Marymount University, Executive Chef),
- Ben Herrera (Executive Chef, The Art Center)
- Jesus Veyna (Executive Chef, Disney),
did an outstanding job of informing the Latino community about the importance of Wellness. You also showed them by making simple changes in their routine meal preparation, how totransform traditional Latino meals into healthy flavorful cuisine. This also shows the dedication and support of our Sodexo chefs, cross divisionally, on promoting health and wellness in our communities.
Wassim, I also want to thank you, Alphonso, Jorge and or course Jason for opening the Loyola Marymount kitchen to not only the Office of Diversity but to our Sodexo Latin community. This continues to show our commitment to our community roots.
Thank you again for a wonderful job! "

"We have received many messages about the delicious food,
the wait staff and the setting. Kathy Aikenhead said it was fabulous the best ever!
Another CEO said that out of the many, many events he has
attended, this was by far the best -- he had never seen a quieter or more
attentive wait staff. I agree they cleared dishes and served dessert
and coffee with no sound while Elyn was speaking! A feat in
itself.
The room was gorgeous, the food delicious. My chicken
was so moist and tasty. It was wonderful to have the engaging Chef
Cayanan there. I think his presence and the cuisine made a difference in
the bidding.
With gratitude."

"I am writing to
you because I am truly impressed with the improved customer service at Jamba. .
Now I see that Jamba is making some improvements, and I came in last week while
Sam and Jesenya were working and even though it was only the two of them and a
bite of a wait, I am truly satisfied with the service. I felt bad for Sam
because he was the only one making the drinks but he was so fast and quick. Even
though they both were swamped with orders they were still smiling and extremely
pleasant towards each customer. And in addition to that, the qualities of the
drinks were great. Thick and delicious. Now nothing tops GREAT WORK JAMBA
TEAM!!!!
*Also Sam’s
smoothie is the best. I've tired two of them and they need to be on the Jamba
menu."

"You
and your Sodexo team were of the greatest help possible to the Ignatian
Volunteer Corps staff members for whom the Center for Ignatian Spirituality put
on the Sunday banquet in the Roski dining room, not only doing the ordinary
setup, but helping us with tablecloths where we needed them, and working around
our volunteers as they added decorations. You were most gracious in
providing extra tables when we ran out of space for all the raffle and auction
items that we wanted to display.
Thank
you for taking care of the challenge of fitting seats for 190 persons at tables
where fewer seats would be the norm. I did not hear anyone complain about
crowding.
By the
time people came into the room, I did not see anything on the floor, though I do
not remember seeing your staff pick up the obvious larger pieces.
The
dining room looked terrific. The food service was amazing, as there were hardly
any small delays in replenishing dishes as they were emptied, and almost 200
people had their food in a very short time. The bar service duo were excellent,
making sure to gather up all the donated items and helping to load them for
transportation back to the cars of those who brought them.
Many
of the people who attended the banquet had not been to LMU before. They were
very positively impressed, and rightly so. They would not find better service at
any of the hotels in our area, I am sure.
Many,
many thanks for not only the things that I noticed, but the many that I did not
see, and that you perhaps consider “ordinary.” I believe that you and your team
could not have provided more excellent service."

"I wanted to thank you for all your assistance. It turned out wonderfully! The a
la carte breakfast delighted AND surprised them because of the variety but
especially the COFFEE! These people are really coffee drinkers :). Everyone
enjoyed the sandwiches. The persons whose names were spelled out on the special
orders felt—I think—a little more special. I want to complement the person who
prepared my sandwich – beef with caramelized onions on the baguette was
extremely delicious—thank you, thank you, thank you—for such a
treat.
Your staff that set-up the food and picked it up (the breakfast)
were kind, courteous and helpful.
In other words, I appreciate all that
was done and am satisfied with all the services."

" Yesterday turned out so well in so many ways and I want the rest of the staff to know how much I appreciate everyone's efforts. Thank you for helping me work out the menu which was the perfect combination of food. The presentation of the food was really wonderful. It was appealing to look at, bite size and easy to handle and once you tasted it, the food was delicious. I had gotten tired of having crab cakes, but the small size caught my eye, and I found myself eating quite a few. Thank you, Fernando. Jason did a wonderful job of having everything ready on time. The servers not only did a great job in replenishing, but they were able to tie the bows on my tables so that they looked beautiful. Thank you, Mercie and Gracias. "

" I wanted to thank you and your crew for the lunch service
yesterday at our all day retreat. Being an all-day retreat we conducted intense
business for 2.5 hours and then had a break and then after lunch continued with
the another 3 hours of intense dedicated work. The breakfast gave us a good
start to the day, and late break sodas and cookies a boost to get us through the
day’s end. The faculty group enjoyed the Southern Style BBQ menu with added
watermelon and salad. The outdoor patio venue provided us to get some fresh
air, enjoy the delicious bbq picnic style food, and relax our minds for a
while. This gave us an atmosphere to chat and eat great food together for a
good start at the beginning of the school year. Many faculty commented on how
good the food was and went back for seconds. Thanks again for helping us out. "

" I want to thank you and your people for the wonderful meals. It was such a pleasure to meet the chef and thank impersonally to let him
know what his work means to these homeless kids who have been so marginalized
and ignored. It was so much fun to uncover the beef brisket last night. I
thought the kids, especially the boys, were going to go nuts when they saw it. I
would bet that the majority of them have not have beef in months if not years. I
wish I could have filmed it for you so that you and your team could have shared

" I wanted to share a note of gratitude with you. Your catering team here in UHALL has been super all year but I especially want to let you know how helpful, professional and service-oriented Julio Diaz has been. LMU is hosting a three day FEMA Higher Education Training workshop for the western region starting today. DPS placed a beverage service order for the wrong time and when I called Julio for assistance this morning he quickly jumped into action and made it happen. " I just wanted to take a moment to tell you that
despite the circumstances and the grand odds against them, Alfonso, Tobias, John
and Victor made it happen today. I learned this morning at 10 AM that the 11:30
lunch prepared for 8 would instead be served for 11. I called your kitchen team
and also left you a voicemail on your cell phone immediately. Alfonso later
confirmed (at my request) that we had enough tarts for dessert and we wouldn’t
need to change the dessert or reprint the presentation menus which were already
on the table. At 10:55, I learned that the guests would be arriving early at
11:15—only 20 minutes later at the time. I informed you of the change and told
you I was headed upstairs to assist. I arrived in the Dreier Suite
about 10 minutes later. The chefs were in the kitchen, the guests had arrived
(even earlier than 11:15) and all of the staff were hustling to complete their
tasks. We seated the guests just before 11:15, dropped bread baskets and
beverages and didn’t wait a moment for the salads before they were served. The
salads were wonderful; the variety of colors in the heirloom tomatoes, the
painted Mozzarella and the drizzled plate were simple and elegant. The entrée
didn’t disappoint for presentation or quality, and the desserts were beautiful. I can’t believe your team could
adjust for 3 additional guests in only 75 minutes AND serve a flawless lunch 15 minutes early! I just wanted to relay the good news. You and I
are lucky to have people like Alfonso, Tobias, John and Victor on our respective
(and shared) teams. I wish you could have seen their great work. My hat’s off
to them! Please relay my thanks. "
