Q. Do I need to purchase a meal plan?   Q. Can I change my meal plan if it does not fit my needs?
A. Yes! It’s a great value and it is Loyola Marymount University’s policy that students lving in a Residence hall are required to have a meal plan.  

A. Yes! Changing to a bigger or smaller meal plan can be done during the 3rd week of the Fall semester at the Student Housing Office. Students who have used 12 Lion Points by the third week of the Fall semester will not be allowed to switch to a lower plan. If you decide to switch to a lower plan, the amount of Lion Points that have been used after the third week will be deducted from the new value associated with the new plan. Any other changes must be requested by the Campus Business Services office at LMU for consideration.

 

Q. What are Lion Dollars?   Q. What are "S" Dollars and do they carry over?
A. Lion Dollars are cash values included in all meal plans. They work like a pre-paid debit card with funds kept on your student ID card. Lion Dollars may be used at any on-campus dining location. Lion Dollars are non-transferrable.  

A. "S" Dollars are simliar to Lion Dollars in that they are cash values that work like a pre-paid debit card on your student ID card. "S" Dollars work at any on-campus dining locations. Most students purchase "S" Dollars if they run out of Lion Dollars during the school year. "S" Dollars carry over from year to year until you are no longer enrolled at LMU.

 

Q. Do Lion Dollars carry over from year to year?  

Q. How can I add "S" Dollars or "Flexi" Dollars to my account?

A. They are carried over from fall to spring when a new meal plan is purchased in the fall. Unused Lion Dollars expire at the end of the year on July 31st.  

A. You can add "S" or "Flexi" Dollars to your account at any time via the Manage my One Card web site or through the Student Account Payment Center.

 

Q. What are Lion Points and do they carry over from semester to semester?

A. Lion Points grant you access to Community Table meals in the Lair Marketplace (Thursday Dinner, Friday Dinner, Saturday Brunch and Sunday Brunch). Community Table meals are all-you-care-to-eat. Your unused Lion Points expire at the end of the semester. You may use your Lion Points for guests at the Lair Marketplace during any Community Table meal.   A. Whether you live on campus or off, you can purchase a LION meal plan through the Student Housing Office. To access the electronic application, please go to Student Housing Online Services via MyLMU.
